2021: A Year Of Revitalization In NYC

Is it just us, or did 2021 fly by at lightning speed? Seriously, it’s felt like a whirlwind! Truthfully, 2021 has been a year of revitalization here in NYC and we couldn’t be more excited to see what 2022 brings.

This year, guests at The Webster Apartments have been fortunate to see NYC get its spark back. And even more so now, as we celebrate the holidays and get ready to ring in 2022.

It’s the perfect time to look back on 2021: a year of revitalization in NYC and set our intentions for 2022.

New Year’s Eve In NYC

First, we want to celebrate the return of an in-person audience for the Time’s Square ball drop! Even though it’s too late to get tickets to the iconic party, you can still be a part of it. There are many restaurants throughout the city hosting their own NYE parties. You can find a list of them here.

Additionally, now through December 29th, you can write your own wish for the NYE Wishing Wall. And when the clock strikes midnight on January 1, 2022, they will be released as confetti onto the NYC streets. Talk about setting your intentions and releasing them into the world!

We Reconnected With Old Guests

If you are a weekly reader of our blogs and follow us on Instagram, then you’ll know we reconnected with former Webster guest, Kayla Cagan this year! Not only has Kayla carried her experience at The Webster Apartments dear to her heart, but she has a nod to it in her second book, Art Boss.

Kayla recounted her days at Webster with friends and the book crawls they would take together. If one of your intentions for 2022 is to read more books, we highly recommend Plan A New York Book Crawl. You and your friends can map out your book crawl and explore the city along the way!

We Welcomed Back Events

As we mentioned earlier, it’s safe to say New York City came back to life in 2021! We’ve been able to enjoy sporting events and, of course, the long-awaited return of Broadway.

If you haven’t had a chance, we highly recommend visiting the TKTS booth in Times Square and Lincoln Center. It’s the best way to see as many shows as you can at a discounted price while bypassing service fees.

We Look Forward To 2022

As we close the chapter on 2021, we couldn’t be more grateful for our guests and the reopening of our favorite city. Heading into 2022 is full of excitement and hope. Have you set your intentions for 2022? After all, it’s more fun to go into the new year with goals and a fresh start.

If 2021 was the year of revitalization, then our intention is for 2022 to build upon that. Let’s make it the year of growth and strength! Happy New Year!
