Creative Things to Do While Undergoing Coronavirus Quarantine

Stuck at home until you get the “all clear”? Don’t worry.

As annoying as it may sound, lounging around at home does have its positive aspects – you can finally indulge in all those things you never have time for! Take that language class, give yourself a manicure, or finally read that book that’s been on your shelf for an entire year.

To spare you from losing your mind at home, we’ve put together a list of fun activities you can do while you’re at home. Stay healthy!

  1. Binge on TV/Netflix/Hulu/Disney+

There’s nothing like quarantine to indulge in a small (or massive) TV binge. Now, you can finally catch up on Love is Blind or The Bachelor.

  1. Read a Book

Opposite of binge-watching, you can unplug the TV, hide the remote, and get back to the basics by getting out a good book. Time will fly by and you’ll feel super accomplished.

  1. Play a Game

Box games are underrated! Rummage around your cupboards and pull out the Monopoly, Guess Who, – you name it! You’ll quickly remember all of the good times you had with box games during your childhood.

  1. Cook Something

Have you been dying to cook this one meal you’ve saved online? It’s time to make that great YouTube recipe reality and create a meal to be proud of. Don’t like cooking? You’re in luck – at Webster, we’ve got your cooking covered.

  1. Treat Yourself to Dinner and a Movie

Make an evening of it this quarantine season. After cooking that glorious meal from YouTube, treat yourself to your favorite movie and some sweets. If dinner and a movie sounds delightful, you can grab your dinner in Webster’s Dining Room and bring it up to one of our cozy parlors (following social distancing techniques, of course).

  1. Indulge in an At-Home Spa Day

Skin care is always in! With additional time at home, you can experiment with new creams, oils, and more. You’ll emerge out of the bathroom feeling relieved – or at least a little shinier.

  1. Study Something New

Have you always been wanting to learn a new language? Maybe painting is a long-time dream? Now is the time to get started with building up your knowledge (and also enhancing your resume).

  1. Take a Virtual Tour

Unfortunately, this whole quarantine business means that traveling isn’t an option right now. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the beauty that this world offers. Many tourism boards offer virtual tours of major cities. Sit back, relax, and hop around the globe from the comfort of your own home.

  1. Facetime a Friend

Friends are always the best cure for when you’re feeling lonely. Schedule a time to connect (or reconnect) with someone you love. Double points for a mud mask Facetime sesh!

  1. Work Out at Home

Can’t go to the gym? Squat and plank in your living room like there’s no tomorrow. Not only can you meet your 2020 fitness goals – aim to exceed them! In Spain, one fitness instructor had an excellent solution

If all else fails and you are about to lose your mind, you can always have a good laugh at social media.
