There is nothing quite like brunch on a beautiful day in New York City. The sun is shining, the coffees are flowing, and the food is always on point. From classic eggs Benedict to massive pancakes to creative takes on avocado toast, there is always something for everyone at brunch. Choosing a brunch spot, though, is not as easy as it seems. There are just so many amazing places to choose from! To help you narrow down your options, we’ve compiled a list of our 10 favorite brunch spots in NYC.

1. Balthazar

One of our top picks for brunch in NYC is Balthazar. This restaurant is known for its amazing food, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint when it comes to brunch. We love the avocado toast and the eggs Florentine, but there are plenty of other great options on the menu.

2. Café Gitane

Café Gitane is one of our absolute favorite places for brunch in NYC. The vibe is relaxed and the food is incredible. We highly recommend the Smoked Salmon and the Avocado Toast – you can never go wrong with a classic. Especially at Café Gitane.

3. Soho House

If you’re looking for a more upscale brunch option, Soho House is definitely the place to go. This members-only club has a great restaurant that serves up some of the best brunch dishes in town. They say it best – “Celebrate the weekend and dig into all your brunch favorites at Soho House New York”.

4. Russ & Daughters

Russ & Daughters is another classic New York City institution that is perfect for brunch. This iconic seafood spot is known for its lox, smoked salmon, and other Jewish deli staples. But they also have a great selection of breakfast items, including bagels, eggs, and pancakes. We recommend trying the Daughters’ Delight – a bagel with Gaspe Nova smoked salmon, wild Alaskan salmon roe, and cream cheese. Yum.

5. Buvette

Buvette is a charming French café that is perfect for a leisurely brunch. The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is really cozy and inviting. We love the Belgian waffle and the Saumon Fumé, but there are plenty of other great dishes on the menu.

6. Two Hands

If you’re up for a quick trip down ‘unda’, Two Hands is your pick. This Australian-inspired café is quickly becoming one of our favorite brunch spots in NYC. The acai bowl here is out of this world, and we also love the two-hander burger and the fresh juices.

7. Egg Shop

Egg Shop is another great option for brunch in NYC. This place specializes in egg dishes, and they do them all incredibly well. We highly recommend the Hot Chix and the BLT Benedict. Try it out and let us know what you think.

8. The Smith

The Smith is a classic American restaurant that does brunch right. This spot is always packed, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Try the Churro Waffles with coffee-hazelnut ganache, and you’ll be a convert as well.

9. Sweetgreen

If you’re after a fresh, green brunch with plenty of earth-friendly food options, Sweetgreen is a must-try. We love their Harvest Bowl with roasted chicken, grains, and plenty of veggies. And the Rosemary Foccacia is hard to beat. Sweetgreen is a great option for our calorie-conscious brunchers as every menu item includes calories and macros.

10. Dim Sum Go Go

Last but not least, Dim Sum Go Go is one of our favorite places for dim sum in NYC. When you’re craving something savory for brunch, this needs to be stop #1. This place has a great selection of dumplings, buns, and other small dishes that are perfect for sharing. And the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for Manhattan.
