PREPARING FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL HEADSHOT

 

Webster has secured professional headshot photographers at Mia Isabella Photography for headshots of attendees at next week’s Intern Queen Summer Party in New York City!  See below for some quick tips to prepare and look your best for your photos!

 

WARDROBE

The most important tip for your wardrobe is to wear something you feel comfortable and confident in!

• Solid or simple patterned tops are ideal for Headshots.
• Jewel tones look awesome on camera – purples, reds, pinks, blues, greens, and golds, etc.
• Avoid light grey tops, as it will blend in to the background.
• Avoid tops that reveal excessive cleavage. (Safety pins will be available!)
• Keep jewelry simple, or none at all.

 

HAIR

Wear your hair as you would normally. You want your headshot to look like you.

• Curly hair? Wear your curls. Straight or wavy? Let it be!
• Style your hair so it is out of your face as much as possible.

 

MAKE-UP

Wear your make-up as you would for an interview. Not too over the top, but you want to put your best face forward.

• Light foundation, a little eyeliner (if you wear it), mascara and a simple lip should do the trick!
• Don’t stress about breakouts! It happens, and it can be removed with additional photo touchups if needed.
